q.gif (1639 bytes)  MY SON AND HIS FAMILY GET TO BE TOGETHER DURING HUNTING SEASON EVERY YEAR.   AT TIMES WE WILL MISS SUNDAY SERVICES TO SPEND TIME TOGETHER, BUT WHEN WE DO WE HAVE SERVICES TOGETHER AND MY GRANDCHILDREN PRAY.   IS IT WRONG FOR ME AS A DEACON TO MISS SERVICES DURING THAT TIME WITH MY FAMILY CAMPING?

a.gif (1659 bytes)   Hebrews 10:25 says, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."   When I was a boy, I went hunting with my father, grandfather, uncles, etc., up in the north woods.   There was a little town within driving distance with a little Baptist Church.   On Sunday, we would drive there and go to church.   We had the practice of not hunting on Sunday's, anyway, so we could have driven even further, if we had to, to find a church.   I would obey the Scripture and assemble together with a good Bible-preaching church, if there is one anywhere near where you are hunting.
