Were there other religions before Christianity?

q.gif (1639 bytes)  Why do you believe that Christianity is the only way, while other religions been around for thousands of years before Christianity became a dominate religion through wars, genocide and slavery?

a.gif (1659 bytes)   Christianity (placing one’s total faith in the Redeemer) has always been the only way of salvation. Acts 10:38-43 says, "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly; Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. TO HIM GIVE ALL THE PROPHETS WITNESS, THAT THROUGH HIS NAME WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM SHALL RECEIVE REMISSION OF SINS."

This promise of a Redeemer was made immediately after Adam and Eve sinned, in Genesis 3:15, "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

You need to read a previous question and answer found at "http://www.pathwaynet.com/libertyb/question/prequest/salvaot.htm". It deals with this subject in detail. In the Old Testament, THEY LOOKED AHEAD IN FAITH to the Redeemer who would come and die for their sins. Today, WE LOOK BACK IN FAITH to the Redeemer who did come and die for our sins. Salvation has always been through faith in the Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Have you repented of your sin, and placed your total faith in Him to save you?
